TE 838 - Children's Literature in Film
Instructor: Laura Apol
As part of the Master’s of Arts in Education I read a variety of children’s classic literature, viewed related films based on the texts, and used film terminology to compare and contrast the educational differences. I also viewed the films and literature from different perspectives in order to better see how such media could be used to further student education in literacy.

TE 846 - Accommodating Differences in Literacy Learners
Instructors: Dr. Gary Troia and Autumn Dodge
As part of the Master’s of Arts in Education I investigated different teaching methods for meeting the differing needs of literacy learners. I researched the instructional and assessment methods that are a factor in providing effective literacy instruction. During these investigations and research, I applied my newly learned knowledge during two case studies of literacy students in my classroom. Furthermore, I then disaggregated the data results from my case studies to report my findings in relation to the research based readings also used in class.
